Sarvatobhadra chakra in Kundli

The Sarvatobhadra chakra arranges nakshatras, letters, zodiac signs, tithi groups and weekdays in a 9-by-9 grid. The chart places the birth grahas in its border nakshatras and lists the cells reached by their vedha lines.

This is a distinct traditional arrangement, not another version of the twelve-house diagram.

Why there are 28 nakshatras

The border includes the usual 27 nakshatras plus Abhijit, between Uttara Ashadha and Shravana. The scheme modifies the adjoining spans rather than adding a twenty-eighth equal slice to the ordinary natal division.

The Positions table and Vimshottari still use the 27-part system. A different chakra label near Abhijit is therefore not necessarily a disagreement about the underlying longitude.

The grid here places north at the top and east on the right. The corner vowels are ī at top left, a at top right, i at bottom left and ā at bottom right; other letters, signs and tithi cells fill the interior. Rotated layouts exist, so compare labels and paths rather than assuming the same top-left cell in every presentation.

Tithi groups and weekdays

Group Tithi numbers within a fortnight Weekdays in this grid
Nanda 1, 6, 11 Sunday, Tuesday
Bhadra 2, 7, 12 Monday, Wednesday
Jaya 3, 8, 13 Thursday
Rikta 4, 9, 14 Friday
Purna 5, 10, 15 Saturday

Purna includes both full-moon and new-moon endings of their respective fortnights. Bhadra here is a tithi-group name, not automatically Vishti karana or Bhadrapada month. The tithi guide and weekday guide explain those separate categories.

Vedha columns

In identifies the graha's border nakshatra. Front crosses toward the opposite edge. Fore follows the diagonal oriented with the clockwise nakshatra sequence, and Hind follows the other diagonal. “Piercing the corner” identifies an additional corner-vowel condition.

Letters remain visible in the grid but are omitted from the written vedha lists, which name nakshatras, signs and tithi groups. A short written list is not a claim that the intervening letter cells disappeared.

The tool reports all three lines. Some traditions select directions by a graha's motion and apply different rules to the luminaries and nodes. It does not combine those choices into an automatic favourable or unfavourable judgment.

The names and paths explain a traditional framework. They do not establish that a particular event will happen. Keep this birth-chart grid separate from a current transit snapshot.
