Sade Sati and dhaiya: Saturn transits

Sade Sati names Saturn's transit through the sign before the birth Moon, the Moon's own sign and the following sign. Dhaiya here names its transit through the fourth or eighth sign counted from the birth Moon.

These are transit classifications, not natal Saturn house labels. A phase name does not establish that a person will experience misfortune.

Phase labels

Saturn from the natal Moon Display
12th sign Sade Sati, first phase
1st sign Sade Sati, second phase
2nd sign Sade Sati, third phase
4th or 8th sign Dhaiya

For a schematic Libra birth Moon, the three Sade Sati signs are Virgo, Libra and Scorpio. Dhaiya corresponds to Capricorn or Taurus. These sign relationships do not give dates until Saturn's actual transits are calculated.

Read the rows

Each row gives the period name, phase when relevant, Saturn's sign, the Moon-relative house, and From/To dates. “Now” marks a span containing the page's computation time.

A retrograde return starts another row, so one phase can be interrupted and resumed. The familiar name suggests about seven and a half years overall, not an exact duration guaranteed for every sequence of crossings.

Timeline limits

The search extends up to thirty years before and after the computation date, starts no earlier than birth, and stays within the supported calculation range. The first or last row can be clipped to those limits rather than showing the astronomical start or end of the full phase.

This is therefore neither a lifetime history nor a promise that all earlier and later phases are listed. An absent row can mean that the phase is outside the searched interval.

The transit guide explains the snapshot and house references. For interpretation, retain the actual birth-chart context instead of assigning one outcome to everyone whose Moon occupies the same sign.
