The seventh house in Kundli
The seventh house, or Yuvati bhava, concerns marriage, partnership, trade and direct dealings with others. It stands opposite the first house, bringing the other party into a reading centred on the person whose chart is shown.
Partnership includes more than marriage
A marriage question and a business-partnership question both involve another person, but they are not interchangeable. Agreements, cooperation and the terms of a shared undertaking illustrate the wider seventh-house subject.
An occupant brings its symbolism to that subject. Venus introduces enjoyment and relating; Saturn introduces duration and responsibility. Neither example establishes that a partner has a fixed personality, or that a relationship succeeds or fails.
The partner's house and its ruler
With Cancer lagna, Capricorn is the seventh whole-sign house and Saturn is its lord. Saturn may be elsewhere in the chart. The seventh lord's placement and any seventh-house occupant are separate factors, as the lordship guide explains.
The seventh is a kendra. That angular status can matter to a yoga rule without making it a compatibility assessment.
Separate relationship checks
Navamsa has its own lagna and houses. Manglik is a particular Mars-placement classification. Neither is another name for the seventh house, and an empty seventh house does not mean an absence of relationships.
Planets in the seventh house
These guides explain each placement and the conditions that qualify its interpretation.
