The eleventh house in Kundli
The eleventh house, or Labha bhava, concerns gains, fulfilled aims, associations and elder siblings. Its emphasis on receiving or achieving distinguishes it from the resources already held in the second house.
Gains, retention and work
A gain need not remain available indefinitely. Traditional financial readings therefore distinguish the eleventh from the second house of retention and the twelfth of expenditure. The tenth concerns the work itself; the eleventh concerns a possible gain connected with it.
A link between the tenth and eleventh lords brings work and gains into the same reading. It does not calculate income or establish that every undertaking will be profitable.
Aims and associations
Fulfilment of an aim is broader than money. Associations and elder siblings are additional traditional subjects here. They should be selected according to the question, rather than treated as interchangeable descriptions of one event.
The eleventh is an upachaya, associated with development. In a Cancer-lagna D1 it contains Taurus and is ruled by Venus. Venus's house ownership is separate from whether Venus or any other graha actually occupies the eleventh.
