Rahu in Krittika
Rahu in Krittika has a modern caution about escalating the force used to pursue a desired outcome. The issue is becoming so intent on prevailing that the response grows out of proportion to the disagreement.
Continuing an argument after its practical issue has been resolved illustrates the theme. It does not establish violence, vindictiveness or wrongdoing.
Rahu and Krittika
Rahu is commonly interpreted through strong desire: wanting an experience, achievement or recognition that feels especially compelling. Ambition and a willingness to enter unfamiliar situations can be constructive expressions. Dissatisfaction can persist when reaching one goal only creates a need for the next.
Krittika (कृत्तिका) is associated with fire and the work of preparing or transforming material. Agni is its deity. Its traditional associations include the ritual fire and crafts that use heat, so the meaning includes useful transformation as well as the capacity to consume.
Position, padas and lord
Krittika’s sidereal span is 26°40′ Aries to 10°00′ Taurus. Its four padas each cover 3°20′. The first pada is in Aries; the remaining three padas are in Taurus. Its Vimshottari lord is the Sun. Nakshatra lord, presiding deity and sign ruler are separate roles.
The sign context depends on the actual position: compare Rahu in Aries and Rahu in Taurus. A reading limited to one sign must stay within that portion of the nakshatra.
The starting boundary is included; the ending boundary belongs to the next nakshatra. The exact degree also identifies the pada. See nakshatra and pada in Kundli for the distinction between the nakshatra lord, sign ruler and house lord.
Reading the whole chart
This guide concerns natal sidereal D1, with whole-sign houses counted from lagna.
These are modern Vedic interpretations of natal Rahu. They do not establish a classical consensus or an individual result.
Rahu’s actual sign, house, aspects and conjunctions, together with the condition of the nakshatra lord, qualify the fuller interpretation.
Use the Rahu reference for the graha’s wider meanings and chart conditions. The placement directory brings together its house, sign and nakshatra guides.
See the actual position, pada and house on the Kundli page.
