Birth-time accuracy in Kundli

Birth-time accuracy sets a limit on the detail a chart can support. “Exact” in the form means that the calculation treats the entered minute as exact; it does not verify the birth record.

Clock and place

Enter the local birth date and clock time. The date picker uses the tool's supported date range. Choose the actual place from the suggestions, including the correct country or region. Typing a label without selecting its result does not select coordinates.

If the place is absent, open Place not listed? and enter latitude from −90 to 90 and longitude from −180 to 180. These coordinates replace the selected place. Give the UTC offset that applied at birth, such as +05:30. East and north are positive; west and south are negative.

A selected city's offset is filled from its historical time zone. An explicit different offset overrides that choice. Modern offsets are not always correct for older births or daylight-saving dates.

Clock notices

When clocks go back, one reading can occur twice. The page uses the first occurrence and identifies the offset needed for the second. When clocks jump forward, some readings never occur; the page flags this and uses the earlier offset. Check the underlying record rather than treating a notice as a chart interpretation.

For example, London 01:30 on 25 October 2026 occurs twice: +01:00 and +00:00 identify different instants. This is a clock example, not a birth chart.

What the uncertainty control checks

Choose Exact or ±1, 5, 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes. The tool compares the stated time with the two endpoints. It reports detected changes in D1 lagna, D9 lagna, graha sign or Navamsa, and the Moon's starting nakshatra lord.

This is an endpoint comparison, not an exhaustive scan of every instant or every division. No warning is not a guarantee of stability. Fine divisions such as D60 deserve particular caution even when the D1 remains unchanged.

Dasha precision

The page estimates a possible shift in Vimshottari dates and fades periods too short for the stated precision. A changed starting lord makes the whole displayed sequence uncertain. Fading expresses uncertain timing, not a bad period. See uncertain periods.

Correct a rejected input before submitting again. An unsupported date, missing sunrise or calculation failure is a limitation of the available result, not an astrological sign.
